As Good as New… or Better!

Every moped sold by NYC Mopeds is restored to full working condition.
Each bike is put through our signature 50pt inspection checklist and receives the following:

  • New Tires & Tubes

  • New Top End Gaskets

  • New Spark Plug, Wire, Plug Boot, and Condenser

  • New Brake Cables and New or Serviced Brake Pads

  • New Petcock (Fuel Valve), Fuel Line, and Fuel Filter (and fresh gas!)

Each Moped is also tested for:

  • Reliable Engine Performance: starts, idles, rides well

  • Good Brakes: stops to factory spec or better

  • Functional Kill Switch & Lights: Headlight, Taillight, & sometimes more

  • Overall Safety: All parts tight, in good condition, not overly worn

We also make it easy to Register and Plate your moped by providing all paperwork needed to register the bike with the NY DMV.

Pre-Order a Moped

We are always working on restoring more mopeds to sell in our showroom, but in the busy season (May-October) we will often be sold out of ready-to-go bikes.

However, even if we are sold out of ready-to-go bikes, we are always taking Refurbished Moped Pre-Orders! With a Pre-Order, you pick an unrestored bike from our inventory and we will build it just the way you want.

The Pre-Order Process

  1. Pick a “Project Bike” from our ever expanding collection.

  2. Choose Factory Specs or add upgrades / performance modifications

  3. Put down a deposit (1/2 of the total build cost)

  4. We build your moped and tune it to perfection.

  5. Pay the outstanding balance and ride away on your new moped!

Built to Your Needs, Small Upgrades to Full Custom

Stock mopeds are great for beginners or to keep things simple. But when you’re ready for the next step, we can take you there.
NYC Mopeds can upgrade any and all parts of your moped either before or after you buy it to suit your specific needs.

  • We do all kinds of Performance Tuning from upgraded exhaust pipes and carburetors to proper installation of full on 75cc big bore cylinder kits. We will get you up to speed.

  • Riding with two? Lots of cargo? We also do suspension upgrades (forks & shocks). We can install buddy pegs for a passenger or a luggage rack and baskets.

  • Favorite Color? We work with local powder coaters and painters that can make your bike shine in any color or finish you desire.
